03-01-1778 Josiah HALL miner of Winster and Joseph ASHTON miner of Winster. Elizabeth ROBERTS single woman of Winster with child, father is Josiah Hall.

08-06-1778 Elizabeth ROBERTS of Winster delivered a male child, Robert HITCH Overseer of the Poor refusing to pay her beneficiary relief, he is ordered to pay. <no mention anywhere who the father of the child is>

24-06-1778 Ellen LONGDEN single woman of Winster lately delivered a male bastard child, father is James YATES the younger of Stanton Hillside son of James Yates of Birchover, both miners.

11-12-1778 Mary HAWLEY of Winster on Aug 1777 was delivered of a male bastard child at Winster and that Samuel ALLEN of High St is the father of said child. Both to be at Abram HICKS house in Bakewell on 18 Dec 1778 to be examined on said matter.

10-08-1779 Mary HAWLEY of Winster is with child and that Robert HITCH sadler of Winster did beget said child on her body, child not born yet.

23-05-1781 Richard BLACKWELL son of George BLACKWELL both miners of Winster. Alice SHIPMAN single woman of Winster now with child or children, father Richard Blackwell.

31-07-1789 Elizabeth HOLME single woman of Winster delivered a female child on 8 Feb now past, father William JACKSON.

12-01-1790 Mary HOLEHOUSE of Winster grand-daughter of John Holehouse gardener of Winster is now chargeable to the inhabitants of Winster. John ordered to pay 6d a week for Mary to offset charges to inhabitants of Winster.

07-03-1791 Mary KEELING spinster of Winster delivered a male bastard child, father Stephen MELLAND of Bakewell surgeon and apothecary.

11-03-1794 Esther WHEELDON single woman of Winster is with child, father is George EVANS labourer of Cromford. John CHILTON of Shipley Common Derbyshire is also bound.

05-04-1794 Sarah BRACE? (now Sarah WALTON wife of John) delivered a female bastard child, father John WALTON butcher of Winster. Henry FLINT of Bonsal also bound.

08-06-1796 Ann STAYLEY of Winster delivered a male child on 23 May now past, father William PLATTS who said he wasn't the father but it was adjudged that he was.

28-06-1796 Indenture between William PLATTS labourer of Winster of the one party and George GOODWIN of Winster - Ann STALEY brought to bed of a male bastard child.

18-07-1796 Elizabeth WHEELDON single woman with child, father William RICHARDS labourer of Monyash. George RICHARDS servantman of Hartington also bound.

01-12-1797 Elizabeth BRADLEY single woman of Winster delivered a female bastard child, father Nicholas HALL of Stockport Chester. Sampson WRIGHT labourer and Thomas WRIGHT cotton spinner both of Stockport also bound.

12-11-1800 Ann BRADLEY single woman of Winster with child, father Abraham SALT gardener? of Elton, also William SALT farmer of Elton.

22-04-1801 Hannah TURNER single woman of Winster delivered a female bastard child, father is William WILMOT miner of Upper Hackney in Darley and his son Thomas WILMOT of same place. <I double checked these two entries for Hannah and as far as I could make out it did say William was the father of this child and Thomas his son the father of the next child>.

03-10-1801 Hannah TURNER single woman of Winster with child, father Thomas WILMOT miner, also William WILMOT miner both of Upper Hackney in Darley.

05-01-1802 Rebecca ROSE single woman of Winster delivered a female bastard child, father Josiah WAGSTAFFE labourer of Winster and his father John Wagstaffe labourer of Winster.

10-02-1803 Mary BARKER single woman of Winster is with child, father Thomas WILMOT miner of Ashover, Mill Town and John MATHER blacksmith of same place.

16-08-1804 Elizabeth LONGDEN single woman of Winster with child, father George ALLEN officer of excise of Winster, also John ALLEN miner of Birchover.

09-04-1808 Hannah BOTT single woman of Winster now pregnant, father Ralph BERESFORD of Cromford who is under 21.
