The Historical Family Trees of Winster, Derbyshire, England |

BMD & Misc details transcribed from Winster Parish Magazines 1888-1962. 30.03.06 - Burials 15.02.08 - Baptisms 28.01.08 - Marriages 20.02.08 - Miscellaneous Items Owing to the growing family trees and the space thousands of files take up I've now had to link to my Winster Project on the RootsWeb WorldConnect Website - never fear, it is all exactly as it was on here and will still be updated regularly - every 2 or 3 months hopefully. If you don't find any information on the family you are looking for please check back often, there will be new families added regularly. Winster is one of the oldest villages in the Peak of Derbyshire in England. In the 18th century it was a thriving village with an important lead mining industry. It is also where two branches of my family tree met and converged into one. I became fascinated with this area of Derbyshire & have now done quite extensive research on the genealogy of the families of Winster. Many hours of work have been put into the research and documentation on these pages. While every care and attention has been made I cannot claim it to be 100% correct. Never, never take anything for granted in genealogy until you have checked your sources. I hope you will benefit from the information presented here. Many others have contributed generously to the information contained within and I hope you will consider doing the same. Dawn Scotting pandora@kc.net.nz |
